Krungthai Bank united with Mae Fah Luang University to move forward to Smart University
Associate Professor Dr.Wanchai Sirichana, President of Mae Fah Luang University together with Mr.Payong Srivanich, President of Krungthai Bank signed the memorandum of understanding in cash management through KTB Digital Platform in Mae Fah Luang University 4.0 Project to response Government’s National e-Payment and Thailand 4.0 policy.
Associate Professor Dr.Wanchai Sirichana revealed after signing agreement that, With the vision to become quality university with world-class education standard, the university has launched Mae Fah Luang University 4.0 to make the university to become a quality human resource and various fields of knowledge developer of the country, including the development of the university’s financial management system in line with government’s National e-Payment and Thailand 4.0 policy, with Krungthai Bank joined to encourage the project through the support of modern financial innovation.
“Mr.Payong Srivanich revealed that as the state commercial bank, the bank determine to enhance living quality of people and competition performance of the country. Therefore, the bank continually join to support ever sectors to move forward to cashless society through various projects such as Welfare Card, EDC machine for government agencies and Thong Fah Pracharat shops in every district, QR Code Payment for various sectors together with fresh market nationwide. Moreover, the bank saw Mae Fah Luang University’s society has a potential of quality society and readiness to become cashless society model before apply in larger scale to encourage Chiangrai Province and Thailand to become cashless society in the future. The e-donation, an electronic donation service system, considered as one of the bank’s innovation which honoured by Mae Fah Luang University as the first university that use such service. Besides, Krungthai Bank also look forward to the possibility of expanding other coorperation apart from financial services to achieve sustainable development such as the support of Mae Fah Luang University’s enterprise incubation project and Northern Science Park project.”
For cooperation with the Mae Fah Luang University at this time. The bank will be provider of financial management in various fields, including e-donation service to support education, charity to support regional medical university department or to other purpose vis the bank’s digital system which the donation certificate will be automatically send to the donor to apply tax refund, electronic cash cards service or University e-Money Card to add facilitate the officers to pay for goods or services expense. The EDC machine and QR Code to receive payment in university’s departments and shops, Fleet Card service for use in the management for the gas at the PTT and Banchak’s gas station from all over the country and the latest service that just launched on 14 March called Krungthai Travel Card for those who travel a lot like university professors and scholars to attend an academic conference to exchange foreign currency with more special rate than the rate in the currency exchange market without carrying a cash. In addition, the bank provide Krungthai Digital Corner in University to serve the transaction and the information of various financial products to students and staff together with the assistance by bank’s officer.
