Krungthai Assures to be a Market Leader of Fleet Card


KTB joined hands with 3 leading oil companies of the country to launch Fleet Card or Credit card for filling gasoline at more than 2,800 petrol/gas stations nationwide, and become the leader in Fleet Card market of the country. Recently, KTB has cooperated with Esso to jointly launch Esso Fleet Card, an innovative corporate credit card that can be used when filling gasoline with the installment period up to 55 days so as to increase the liquidity and facilitate budget management of fleet card subscribers.

            Dr. Vites Techangam, Senior Executive Vice President Managing Director of Electronic Banking & Cash Management Group Krungthai Bank Pcl., revealed that the Bank aspired to create value services to accommodate for the customers’ growth and rigidity in harmony with the vision KTB Growing Together. Thus, Fleet Card or Credit Card for fuel filling was designed for particular organization especially the government sectors, state enterprises and juristic persons in order to pay for fuel and services charged at gas stations. With this regards, apart from the KTB’s collaboration with PTT Pcl. and Bangchak Petroleum Pcl, this jointly launching of Fleet Card with Esso (Thailand) Pcl. has become further extension to the service coverage. Therefore, the KTB’s Fleet Card has been available to serve cover up 2,800 gas stations nationwide.

            “Esso Fleet Card is designed to be used for paying the fuel-filling and services charge at approximately 560 Esso stations nationwide with the repayment period up to 55 days. Diverse types of fleet card are provided so as to match with the customers’ usage. Moreover, the customers can propose for their own the cards’ usage condition, for instance, credit limit and fuel type while the card repayment can be made via various channels namely; approximately 1,100 KTB branches nationwide; automatic direct debit and KTB netbank. Any transaction made via the Card can be checked daily by choosing KTB Corporate Online on website”  

              Dr. Vites Techangam also added that Fleet Card was regarded as one of the financial products that efficiently facilitated the budget management of the organization without requirement to reserve cash for fuel payment. Besides, this service shall be incredibly helpful to the corporate businesses with a large amount of fuel usage as well as help reduce the paper documents for disbursement process. Many government and private sectors have applied for Fleet Card increasingly. Thus, the Bank strongly believes that after the launching event with Esso Fleet Card, the Bank shall become number one leader of Fleet Card market of the country.
