Krungthai Bank Winning SET Awards 2012 for Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility

          Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr. Kittirat na Ranong, presided over the presentation ceremony of the SET Awards 2012, the awards initiated by the Stock Exchange of Thailand in conjunction with the Money and Banking Magazine in recognition of SET-listed companies, securities companies and asset management companies for their excellence and merits in different areas based on their 2011 performing results.  The ceremony took place at the SET Head Office.

 

         Krungthai Bank won the 2012 SET Award of Honor as a result of its continued excellence in its prominent Corporate Governance Report during 2009 and 2012 and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award for a SET-listed company with over Baht 10,000 million in market capitalization.  Sen. Lt. Khakkanant Kiratisountorn R.N., MD, First Executive Vice President – Managing Director, Human Resources and Corporate Governance Group, was on hand to receive the prestigious awards on behalf of Krungthai Bank. 

 

         SET Award of Honor is instituted for SET-listed companies in recognition of the prominence of their consistent Corporate Governance Practice Report based on the information filed in SET Annual Information Disclosure Form, annual reports, letters calling for Shareholders Meetings and Shareholders Meeting Reports.

 

         Corporate Social Responsibility Awards are given to SET-listed companies for their leading role in carrying out its corporate social responsibility.  The awards were also designed to support and promote their exemplary contributions for other businesses to emulate while encouraging continued corporate social responsibility.
