KTB and our policies conceptualize on being “the convenience bank” and “Processing bank,” which has complete banking products and services that satisfy the customers’ needs: to be “one stop service” that is modern, fast and accessible anytime, anywhere. We realize that our employees are essential to the organization. They are the valuable resource that should continually be trained to develop their utmost capabilities. Thus, it is meaningful to build and improve their effectiveness and professionalism. Further, we have training and programs for our employees focusing on marketing and sales skills, and core product knowledge in order to be fully prepared and confident to serve customers. For instance, KTB Product & Sale Champion welcomed 725 effective trainees. As for strengthening service skills, corporate image was imbedded in courses such as improvement and techniques of superior service to meet the customers’ needs with efficiency and creating good ‘Excellent Service’ which passed on to 2,269 effective trainees. For credit analysis, we have introduced the test of knowledge of credit to employees and the course of Omega Performance – the reliable famous financial institute – to align all credit employees to single standard and to be comparable to other famous financial institutions. There were 1,806 employees attending to an evaluation. For the moral and mind development training, the bank also provided the practices of transcendental meditation which had 1,239 employees attend.
Moreover, the bank has the plan of development and forming some high potential individuals to get ready for the promotion of executive managers in the future, such as branch managers and above, talent employees group, management trainees for credit analysis (MTCA), and management trainee (MT) who will be developed by the courses, which are both inside and outside the organizational boundary. Besides, the plan of building and developing Young Blood Group which obtains the oversea scholarships of Master degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, and Operational Research within the top 25 universities in the United States of America and other famous universities in England, France, Japan and China from the bank; moreover, there are Master degree scholarships given to study in Graduate Institute of Business Administration (SASIN), Chulalongkorn University, Asian Institute of Technology : AIT, and which for Master of Science, Computer Technology.
To take responsibilities for society and environment and to create the intellectual foundation, the bank arranged association in the project “Intellectual Foundation creation: KTB Lecture Series” for the customers, employees and interested participants. We held the contest of Business Simulation in the name of “Krung Thai young enterprise project” for Thai secondary school students in order to create the concept and foundation of being entrepreneur and to conduct business in the Business Simulation according to the process of the real business environment. We also have KTB Internship Training (KIT), providing for third year university undergraduates in Thailand, to be trained and observe the operation of any bank’s department; especially, we acquired the concept “Sufficiency economy” to use through the process of people development. To build Krung Thai Community which is to be the knowledge sharing community, there is a knowledge management data base supporting our employees to continually, thoroughly, and equally learn leading to sharing the knowledge. We also had mentoring on the job training, project of star of selling, star of customer service, and star of credit by that all stars were the scholars transmitted their knowledge and skills to colleagues supporting to be a learning organization and aimed at being creative organization. All aforementioned concepts of development were not only to build the good relationship among employees but also cut cost of hiring outside scholars.
